Due to financial crisis a family is forced to split up. Roxy (mother) is a 4 year old spade brindle and (Mickey) the son is a 2 year old neutered fawn. Both are house broken, good with cats and show no problem with other dogs when on walks (their only exposure).

The would love to see them go together since this is all Mickey knows. If they need to be split up to find a good home they will reluctantly do so.

The family is located in Carson City Nevada. If interested call Gina @ 775-291-6592.

This three year old blue great dane needs a new home.  Here is what his owners wrote about him:

"Our Dane suffers from chronic ear infections and is losing way too much hair.  He is also underweight.  We have seen numerous vets and spent thousands of dollars running a variety of tests on him to determine what, if anything, is wrong with him.  The most we have been able to find is that his thyroid levels are too low.  He has supplements for this.

Even though we love "Blue," we must find him a better home.  Can you please help?  Feel free to email (rbabaian@wshblaw.com) me or call my wife, Helen, at 818-523-7262."

"Paco"

needs a new home!  This very cute Lab/Dane mix is in a hectic, unstable situation and desperately needs a permanent home.  He is not sure where he will be from day to day and is having some anxiety because of his nomadic lifestyle.  Here is what Paco's owner says about him:

Paco is 2 1/2 years old, and he has had extensive training. He is trained to sit, stay, heal, pick up his bowl when it is empty, he understands the command "space" in which he goes and lies down. He is crate trained, and we would be happy to provide the crate to Paco's new family. He is an amazing fetcher, very gental. Works well with children, cats, dogs, and large groups of people. Paco loves to swim, run, sleep, and eat.

He needs a routine, and suffers from separation anxiety, and has about 4 seizures a year, which the vet can find no cause for.  He is on no medications for his seizures.. I have kept a calendar of them. He is in great health condition. He is fixed, current on his shot, the only medication he takes is occasional ear medicine for allergies in his ear.

Paco has been living in 2 places, in Sacramento and on a large acreage property in Tahoe with  2 other dogs, and 6 cats. He is a wonderful dog and just wants to be a pleaser. Please help us find a perfect home for him.  I would be happy to provide any other information, pictures and answer any other questions.

If you are interested in this wonderful boy, please call Charlotte at (916) 600-2106

Peanut

Peanut is a 4 year old Great Dane mix (Grey Hound?). She is very sweet affectionate and loves kids. She loves to run so she needs a home with someone who likes to be active. She is about 90 lbs, spayed, and has had all of her shots. She is leash trained but does not always need it.

From the Senior Dogs Project website

Top Ten Reasons to Adopt an Older Dog*
Housetrained 1. Older dogs are housetrained. You won't have to go through the difficult stage(s) of teaching a puppy house manners and mopping/cleaning up after accidents.
Won't chew inappropriate items 2. Older dogs are not teething puppies, and won't chew your shoes and furniture while growing up.
Focus to learn 3. Older dogs can focus well because they've mellowed. Therefore, they learn quickly.
Know what "no" means 4. Older dogs have learned what "no" means. If they hadn't learned it, they wouldn't have gotten to be "older" dogs.
Settle in with the "pack" 5. Older dogs settle in easily, because they've learned what it takes to get along with others and become part of a pack.
Good at giving love 6. Older dogs are good at giving love, once they get into their new, loving home. They are grateful for the second chance they've been given.
WYSIWYG 7. What You See Is What You Get: Unlike puppies, older dogs have grown into their shape and personality. Puppies can grow up to be quite different from what they seemed at first.
Instant companions 8. Older dogs are instant companions -- ready for hiking, car trips, and other things you like to do.
Time for yourself 9. Older dogs leave you time for yourself, because they don't make the kinds of demands on your time and attention that puppies and young dogs do.
A good night's sleep 10. Older dogs let you get a good night's sleep because they're accustomed to human schedules and don't generally need nighttime feedings, comforting, or bathroom breaks.
