Moving

Your dog may have some adjustment problems when you move. You will be extra busy but try to remember your pet’s needs.

Continue walks, even if they are short.

Go back to the positive reinforcements done when you first adopted the dog. He/She will  soon realize that his environment is the same even if the setting has changed.

It may take a few days in your new home to refresh some housetraining basics. Take him to the appropriate door on leash. Take him outside and say “FIDO, GO POTTY”. Get out the hot dogs again to reinforce positive, he needs to know where to go in his new home to alert you to his need.
